Efforts to regulate company’s environmental procedures led to the development of the International Standard (ISO 14001). ISO 14001 was first published in 1996 and updated in 2004. Compliance with the standard demonstrates that an organisation is controlling its general impact on the environment. CMR has been accredited to ISO 14001 since inception in 2003. All relevant certificates along with our last annual Environmental Statement for 2010/11 are included in this environmental pack along with our current Environmental Policy.

As an internationally recognised standard, that has been widely adopted by the industry, the three important aspects of ISO 14001 are:
  • Full compliance with European Environmental Legislation, including the WEEE Directive
  • Pollution prevention for ourselves and partners
  • Continual improvement of practices regarding our environmental impact
