Did you know that your old and unwanted mobile phones can be used to raise valuable funds for The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Charity?

The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has been in service since March 2000.

On average it receives 3 or 4 calls per day and has now flown over 4250 missions.

It is deployed by the Ambulance service and responds mostly to road traffic and horse riding accidents due to the remote locations and the kind of injuries sustained. The helicopter flies at 140 mph and can land in an area half the size of a tennis court making it an ideal recourse for the Ambulance service to send to some of the areas needed.

The Aircraft costs in excess of £3000 per day to run, and this money has to be raised largely from charitable donations from the counties of Dorset and Somerset and beyond.

On average, each handset is worth £6 to The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, and some are worth much more!

By donating your mobile phones you’ll be helping The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance to continue their lifesaving work, and at the same time you’ll be helping the environment.

It’s easy to recycle and costs nothing. All you need to do is fill out this form to request a recycling bag.

If you have more than 20 phones to donate, call us on freephone 0800 298 9069 to arrange a free collection.

Thank you for your support.
